Captain of Croatian national team Luka Modric never stops, no matter the age. This was Croatians third month in a row winning the internet poll put by Spanish brewery Mahou. Modric was voted as the best player in Real Madrid by the fans.

Modric is a 35-year-old midfielder who got a small red statue in the shape of the letter M, all for his performances during the January. He already got the ” Five Star Player Mahua” prize in the December and November of the last year.

“Once again I want to thank people for their support and for liking who I am. I am very pleased with this award.” – said the Real midfielder. Modric played five out of six games for Real Madrid in January.

“Behind us is a really good week during which we achieved three important victories. Besides, we played well, especially in the last two games against Getafe and Valencia. We want to continue on this path.”

Modric was voted as the best player and recently signed a contract that expires in June. His club is in the second place right now, trying to catch up to Atletico Madrid.

In this season Modric played in 29 games, and score 4 goals. He also got two assistances and he hopes to extend his contract.

The Mahou company released a statement in which they congratulated Modric on his big win and all of those fan votes. Every month Mahou organizes the poll where fans can vote and choose between few players.
