With this victory, Manchester United extended their unbeaten run in all competitions to five matches, while the Reds have celebrated only once in their last seven appearances. The guests took the lead in the 18th minute with a goal by Mohamed Salah after a fantastic assist by Robert Firmin.

But ten minutes later Mason Greenwood equalized on an assist by Marcus Rashford. In the 48th minute, they switched roles. Greenwood assisted and Rashford scored for a turnaround. Just 10 minutes later Salah put everything back to square one.

The deciding goal was scored by Bruno Fernandes in the 78th minute. United’s next opponent will be West Ham.

The Chelsea players also reached the round of 16 after beating Luton Town 3-1 at Stamford Bridge. The Blues came to victory against the second division on the wings of Tammy Abraham who scored three goals (11, 17, 74), while the goal for guests was scored by Jordan Clarke (30).

Interestingly, Abraham became the first Chelsea player to enter a hat-trick in the FA Cup after 2007 when his current coach Frank Lampard succeeded.

The victory of the London team could have been more pronounced, but Simon Sluga defended a penalty to Tim Werner in the 86th minute. The German striker sent the ball to the right side of the goal, but Sluga reacted brilliantly.
