Reds celebrated the goals from Mohamed Salah and Sadi Mane and made a big step towards the quarterfinals on Anfield. The proud Liverpool coach gave a statement in which he said:

"I felt a lot of people expected us to slip again because of the whole situation, but we didn't. Our motivation wasn't to prove people wrong, I don't believe too much in that, but I think they really expected it to be hard for us again."

He added that he is very satisfied with their game and that Liverpool deserved to win. Reds were obviously better team throughout the game, they made Leipzig make mistakes and used it to their benefit. Klopp also added that the whole team showed a mental strength that is extremely important.

On the other side, Leipzig coach Julian Nagelsmann doesn’t lose any faith in his club, although they lost on their “own” field. Nagelsmann said that :

"It won't be easy, but I think we deserve respect. We have to be confident in return and we have to win."

This game meant a lot to Reds and to Leipzig. This was Liverpool’s first win after 3 games losing streak. Just when the football fans started losing hope in Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp, they woke up and started being themselves again. The team put Liverpool on the winning side again and they hope no to go far from it again.

"We were at the peak for two years, we were really good. We have problems this year and that's fine. A lot of them expected us to fall again and lose the fourth in a row. We didn't allow it, the guys recovered and I congratulate them." - said Klopp.

The scored goals seem to be mostly Leipzigs fault, every time the made a little mistake Liverpool was there to take advantage of it. Klopp’s team first time scored in 53rd minute after a big mistake of Leipzig’s defence.

Salah just went to the goal, calm and alone and scored without any problems. Five minutes after that Liverpool again took advantage of Leipzig’s confusion and Mane scored one more finale goal. The Liverpool coach is very satisfied with the game of his player.
