Is Ramos leaving Madrid for Paris Saint Germain?

The extension of Sergio Ramos’ contract (34) is taking longer than expected. Real Madrid is planning another ‘salary cut’, claims the Spanish Ace. Is Ramos leaving Madrid for good?

The ‘Royal Club’ says that their budget for this season is € 300 million ‘short’. Budget cut will affect all future contracts until the global crisis caused by the coronavirus passes.

Sergio Ramos, on the other hand, wants the best possible contract. This contract might be the last big one for Ramos. He understands that the club can’t afford what it once could. But that raises a question is Ramos leaving Madrid for PSG?

Since his contract expires in June, Ramos is free to negotiate with other clubs, while Madrid can start looking for his replacement. If there is a player who can adequately replace him – although that isn’t what Ramos or Madrid want.

Sergio wants to continue his career at the Madrid, and Zinedine Zidane doesn’t hide that club should strive for the same goal.

“Ramos, Modrić and Lucas should sign new contracts and we want to resolve this as soon as possible. It is in everyone’s interest, for our own good, to get rid of it as soon as possible” – said Zizou.

Although the pay cut is the primary reason, its hard to believe that Sergio Ramos wouldn’t agree to it for the benefit of the club.

Another problem, some will say more important, is the policy of the ‘royal club’ which requires players over the age of 30 to be offered a contract extension for just one year.

But, Ramos reportedly thinks he deserved a new contract with his efforts, goals and everything else in a white jersey.
