After a break of two weeks, the German football championship continued. The first matches of the 14th round were on the program, and out of five matches, as many as four were won by the guests.
The only at-home victory was Eintracht defeating Bayer Leverkusen with 2: 1, Freiburg won against Hoffenheim with 3: 1, Borussia Moenchengladbach beat Armenia 1: 0. Augsburg was better than Cologne with the same result. While Union Berlin defeated Werder 2: 0.
Bayer took the lead in Frankfurt in the 10th minute with a goal by Nadiem Amiri. But the host managed to turn the score around through Ain Younes and Edmond Tapsoba.
Daichi Kamad had a chance for a 3-1 lead in the 75th minute, but the Japanese midfielder shot desperately. They were closest to the “Pharmacists” in the 82nd minute when Martin Hinteregger clumsily hit the edge of his own goal.
It was only Bayer’s second defeat this season, and so far they have lost their only game to Bayern champions, also 1-2.
After the first half, Freiburg led 3-0 against Hoffenheim with goals from Baptista Santamaria, Vincenzo Grif and Kasim Nuhu, and then calmly played the rest of the game.
Union Berlin won against Werder in the first half, with goals scored by Becker and Awoniyi. Borussia Moenchengladbach celebrated at Arminia with a goal by Embol.
Later, Hertha – Schalke, and Stuttgart – RB Leipzig will meet, while Borussia Dortmund – Wolfsburg and Bayern – Mainz will play on Sunday.
Bayern leads the table with 30 points, Bayer and RB Leipzig have 28 points each, and Union Berlin and Wolfsburg have 24 points each.
